Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Coming in February?
Information from ‘Sourcebook’ states that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is due out in February of 2013.
Check out this video of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. It shows you the tutorial stage of the game, teaching you how to utilise Raiden’s cyborg ninja abilities. The gameplay certainly does look fun. With Platinum Games’ experience of making hack n’ slash games and a Metal Gear universe, Revengeance is one to watch.
Something just isn’t right here with these new Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance shots. The shots are a new batch from the game developed by Platinum Games. Oddly, the screens show off a game with jaggies galore and horrific low-res textures. These are nothing on a par with what we’ve seen prior to this. As CVG stated, could this be Hideo Kojima up to his old trolling tricks?
MGR: Revengeance Playable at gamescom
Konami has confirmed that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be playable at this year’s gamescom.
Check out these blood splattered, cyborg sword swinging screenshots of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The Platnium Games developed game is set for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 and see’s the return of Raiden as a main playable protagonist in a Metal Gear game.
Yet another trailer folks. This one is for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and shows off some awesome Raiden slicing gameplay. It also gives us some insight into the game’s story for the first time as Raiden returns to #makeitright in his homeland. The trailer slates the game for an early 2013 release.
PS3 is Lead Platform for Metal Gear Rising
There’s been all sorts of shake ups regarding the development of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (previously known as Metal Gear Solid: Rising). However, one thing hasn’t surprised us, the PS3 is the lead platform.
This video is a 25 minute documentary regarding the development of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. ‘The Truth Behind RISING' is an insightful documentary featuring Hideo Kojima and others from the Metal Gear Solid: Rising project which was initially announced in 2009. The video explains the turbulent development story of Raiden’s return as a main character.
With a total new name, design and developer, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance looks a heck of a lot different to what it did in 2010. The bottom section of each image is the original design from when Kojima Productions was developing the game. Now, Platinum Games has taken the project by the horns, changing its place on the Metal Gear timeline to post-MGS4. Check out the differences! Also, which side do you prefer?
We’ve only said that the period setting is several years after MGS4. Metal Gear Rising is not part of the Metal Gear Solid series. At present, we can’t say more than this.
